OTC Bulletin Board is an electronic, regulated quotation service for National Association of Securities Dealers market makers. The service displays real-time quotes, last-sale prices, and volume information for more than 6, 500 national, regional, and foreign securities that are not traded on an organized stock exchange. Sometimes called penny stocks as a result of their often low prices, these thinly traded securities are considered highly speculative because they are often issued by small, untested companies.
