Money market is a market for short-term debt instruments (generally of less than one year) such as certificates of deposit, commercial paper, banker's acceptances, Treasury bills, and discount notes of the Federal Home Loan Bank and the Federal National Mortgage Association. Money markets offer safety and liquidity.
