Recorded is the noting in the office of the Recorder (or other public office in a political subdivision who keeps records or transactions affecting real property in the area) of the details of a properly executed legal document such as a deed, mortgage, or satisfaction of mortgage, thereby making it a part of the public record as of a specific date and time.
