Research Report is a document summarizing a stock's investment potential. Written by securities analysts at brokerage firms and other investment companies, research reports advise clients on whether they should buy, hold, or sell a stock. Agency problems can arise, and because of this, investors should not take the information in these reports as the absolute word, and should always obtain information from various sources.
