Restructuring is the reorganization of a company in order to attain greater efficiency and to adapt to new markets. Major corporate restructuring transactions include mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, spin-offs, equity carve-outs, liquidations and reorganizations.
